Connect worked time to the schedule
The time clock sits alongside the schedule so managers can understand who was planned, who is working and how recorded time relates to the scheduled shift.
Clock activity stays connected to the scheduled shift
Workforce Manager does not treat clock-in and clock-out records as isolated timestamps. Employees use the time clock in connection with scheduled work, giving managers the schedule context needed to understand who was expected, when the shift was planned to start and when recorded attendance occurred.
Separate scheduled hours from recorded worked time
The employee dashboard can show scheduled hours, worked hours and remaining hours as separate information. Time-clock history helps managers review recorded activity against the rota rather than assuming every timestamp represents scheduled work. If an employee clocks in early, Workforce Manager can limit counted worked time to the scheduled period instead of automatically counting the early arrival as scheduled time.
Use today's staffing to understand attendance
Time-clock activity feeds the day-to-day staffing view. A scheduled employee who has clocked in can be shown as working, while someone whose scheduled start has passed without a clock-in can be identified as late. This gives managers a quick operational picture without opening every employee's individual history.
Keep the time clock linked to today's shift
For employees, the time-clock experience is connected to the shift they are due to work. Today's Shift can show the date, time, role and workplace, while the time clock provides the attendance action and progress for that scheduled period. The next-shift view is reserved for the next available shift after today's work rather than repeating the current shift.
Work across multiple locations
Time-clock information can remain company-aware even when other parts of the application are filtered to a selected workplace. Employees assigned to several locations can see where today's shift belongs, while managers can use workplace context when reviewing current staffing.
Review time-clock history
Managers and employees can use time-clock history to review past activity. Printable or saveable history supports internal checking when a punch needs to be compared with the published schedule. Corrections and payroll decisions remain an employer responsibility rather than being inferred automatically from the raw clock event.
Location and geofence support
Where workplace location checks are enabled, the time-clock flow can request location accuracy and compare the employee's position with the configured workplace. Location features are intended to support workplace attendance controls while keeping the scheduled shift as the central reference.
